Regrinds can greatly improve a knife's cutting performance. To protect your knife's heat treat I wet grind on a glass platen to keep blades from overheating.
Regrind belt progression (may vary based on blade)
- 120grit
- Trizact A160
- Scotch-brite (Full flat grinds)
- Cork Belt
Regrind criteria:
- Disassembly possible
- Flat grinds only
- Value less than $600
- Not irreplaceable
Pricing includes sharpening:
- $60 for belt satin progression finish
- + $25 for grinding a new swedge in
- + $15 for Stone wash finish, will match clip and hardware if requested
- + $5 for etched AW maker's mark (upon request only)
- + $10 for Maxamet, REX45 or similar super steels
- No additional charge to add a basic sharpening choil, just ask
